Winter Music 2015 - A Celebration of Women in Song-0216.jpg

Our Story

The Australian Women’s Choir provides a unique opportunity for all women to experience the joy of singing and performing pop, rock and contemporary music. Founded in July 2014 by Wendy Stapleton, the Australian Women's Choir is currently based in Essendon, Victoria.
Vision

To foster connection through communal song and performance.

Mission

We exist to provide an opportunity for women to come together, to develop musical and vocal skills and to delight in the experience of live performance.

We value community, creative expression, and rock n' roll! With a repertoire including songs such as 'When The War is Over', 'Solid Rock', 'Sweet Dreams' and 'Under The Milky Way', we take pride in performing some of Australia’s most iconic hits along with music from all over the globe.

Since our foundation the AWC has performed at numerous functions and festivals around Victoria including performances with the legendary Mike Brady at AFL Grand Final functions at Crown Casino, the Order of Australia Awards, the Melbourne Celtic Festival, the Harcourt AppleFest, the Regent Theatre and the Foxtel AFL Grand Final breakfast televised across Australia.
